Are you looking for additional educational resources for your child?  Would you like to see your child exchange his/her video games for educational electronic games?  Well, search no further!  The Parent Resource Center has just what you're looking for!   The center provides supplemental resources for Bright Star students and their families.  You will find educational games, math manipulatives, reading activities, parenting materials and much, much more!  Come and visit today!  The Parent Resource Center is open daily from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Media Center.  Additional hours are available by contacting Kanesha Howard at 770-651-3468 for additional information. 

 

Bright Star Title I Family Engagement Activities!

September 20, 2016 - Annual Title 1 Meeting 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. - Come learn about what Title 1 is and how it affects our students.

October 27, 2016 - Spooky Stories Reading Night 6 - 7 p.m. - Join us for a night of Spooky Reading fun!  Students will practice reading skills and concepts and parents will leave with ideas of things they can do at home.

November 15, 2016 - Math Carnival Night 5:30 - 7 p.m. - Come play math games and tasks that you can even do at home! Leave with materials to help you help your child.

January 10, 2017 - Awesome Assessments 5:30 -7 p.m. - A night of learning all about the different assessments your student takes during the year.  There will be information presented about GKIDS, GMAS, CDAs, and AIMSWeb.

February 7, 2017 - Technology Night 6 - 7 p.m. - Come learn about interactive ways to help your child.  There's an APP for that!

March 21, 2017 - Invention Convention Night 6 - 7 p.m. - Students will have fun creating and participating in science based activities and fun.
