I was born and raised in Austell, GA, and was a product of the Cobb County School District. I was your typical undiagnosed ADHD student. School was difficult for me and I came home with many notes regarding how I needed to control my focus and talking.  I was always smart, but had trouble in what I considered "boring classrooms".  That experience helped me become the teacher that I am today.  I do my very best to make my classroom a "fun" place to learn.  I feel that if students are engaged and having fun they will learn and remember more.

I graduated with an associate’s degree in education (Young Harris) and went on to Georgia Southern University. After only three years later I was earning my B.S. in Early Childhood Education.

I began my teaching career at Lithia Springs Elementary School and learned so much. I then transferred to Bright Star Elementary School and went back to school and finished my master’s degree in technology and educational leadership.  Throughout my teaching career I also earned endorsements on my certificate in technology, reading, gifted, ESOL, and Science.

I love learning and sharing my gift of learning with the children I teach.
