10 yrs. and Soaring!!!

At Bright Star Elementary, our focus is our families. The foundation of Bright Star is our diverse community. From parents to staff, we all bring our different backgrounds and experiences together for the enrichment of our students. The link between school, home, and community is essential for a child’s growth and development. We believe in this bond and work very hard to promote it.

Mrs. Dale McGill, Principal, and Ms. Janice Duvall, Assistant Principal, are working hard toward another successful year. In an ever changing school community, our population is lower than average, allowing for smaller class sizes and more involvement with the students. Parents are always welcome to join in this effort. Parents and extended family are invited to visit Bright Star for lunch with their student or brief classroom observation. We also have many volunteer and mentorship opportunities for family members to take part in the enrichment of our school.

Bright Star Elementary encourages its families to get involved through our school functions. The PTA sponsors many family involvement events and parent workshop opportunities to boost overall participation and development. We want our families to feel welcome at Bright Star.
